If you spotted Gareth Bale’s historic unveiling at the Bernabeu earlier this week, you would have seen him debut the latest Adidas F50 adiZero colorway. It was a case of marketing at his best, with a pair of personalized boots ready and waiting for the moment Bale put pen to paper!
The colorway is officially listed as a Electricity/Hero Ink/Metallic Silver and offers a completely different look that we definitely haven’t seen released before. It is the Hero Ink (or the Navy Blue color) that really sets them apart and gives them a highlighted effect. It actually plays against the primary Electricity and creates a slightly different effect to its shading.

This F50 adiZero has quickly become the top boot option for strikers right throughout Europe. Just taking into consideration the EPL, you have players like Robin van Persie, Roberto Soldado, Luis Suarez and Alvaro Negredo sporting the speed boot. Add in the likes of the Edinson Cavani, Gareth Bale and the man himself – Lionel Messi – and you can see that there is tremendous appeal to the performance they offer.
You can currently find this F50 adiZero Electricity colorway at soccer.com.
Personally, this colorway is really starting to grow on me. From initial images of Bale wearing them, they seemed a little bland but Adidas has done an excellent job on promoting them in these images.
What are your thoughts on them and do they electrify you?
They are the best looking boot outside of RVP's custome boot and the infrared release. I have these in leather, not as bright as the synthetic, a little bummed out about it.
