Puma King XL
Stiff leather upper with the addition of a work boot style toe cap.
Who doesn’t love a good Puma King release? The King evokes a real heritage feel and are some of the most comfortable boots around. Yet this pair fell well short of expectations. The real problem is the forefoot design and that really rough lower lip. I am all for bringing back memories of boots of days gone by, but I don’t expect the leather upper to feel as stiff as a boot that has been sitting in the sun since the 1970s. There was a definite stiff feel about the design and they really offered a very unnatural touch on the ball. The color used on this release was also a little blaze.
I had never heard of several of these, and that is probably for the best.
Funny how there are no adidas boots 😛
If you have a suggested Adidas boot that should be on the list, let us know which ones!
Adi5-xite. I have flat wide feet and they are some of the sloppiest turf boots i have ever worn. Nike has them beat hands down in 5aside turf boots.
F50+ tunits.
What a joke those were. They were so bad that even Messi switched to the drop down F30s.
The 7406 was horrible as well. Luckily, it lived a very short life as Adidas soon scrapped it for the original Adipure.
I also have a pair of eescord and i really like them a cheap speed boot that gives me a natural feel to the ball and especially when kicking the ball the only negative i can say about the boot is like any speed boot is that they dont last and are starting to lift a bit in the toe but for the price $30 for me was a bargain.
Honestly I see the superflys getting a lot of hate, and maybe its just because i have a smaller foot, but my CR7 Superfly III are my favorite boots. After 2 years the soleplate finally cracked a bit and I am wary about wearing them but I found them absolutely fantastic. My roommate that is also on my college team also has Superfly III and loves them as well
