I kid you not, we might be in the midst of a revolution in the boot industry!
We recently broke the news that Warrior had signed up Marouane Fellaini to their ranks, well now they have gone one better and steamrolled into 2013 by signing the Premier League’s reigning Player of the Year, Vincent Kompany, to a long-term endorsement deal. This is a huge move and really demonstrates how serious the American company are about their boots. If you add in Newcastle midfielder, Jonas Gutierrez, they have 3 solid, high profile players on their books.
We have already posted our review of the Warrior Skreamer S-Lite and they worked out to be a pretty solid boot. This is a boot that is designed to mimic its name – the Skreamer. Designed as a Power boot, yet they fall into the Lightweight category at 7.4oz.
You can currently pick up the S-Lite for $180 or you can go for the K-Lite for $180.
I’m honoured to be joining the Warrior team – I actually see our relationship as more of a partnership because it’s about a lot more than just their brilliant product. For me, being a warrior is a mindset. Beyond your physical ability, it’s about what you have in your heart, in your head and in your mind. I’m happy to endorse those values.
Kompany announced the above news to fans via a video message posted on his YouTube channel earlier today. And Warrior also released the below video that gives you some insight into how the Warrior boots are produced – it is pretty sick and well worth watching!
