An adiPure release in black……with some pop……it is self explanatory!
Believe or not, you have to go all the way back to June 1st to find the last release in the Adidas adiPure 11Pro SL line, and before that it was January. I think you could say that Adidas has been selective with the colorways they are releasing in the lightweight heritage range. This time around you are getting a Black/Running White/Pop design that definitely fills the type of look we expect to see in the range.
The 11Pro SL hits the market with a high-end, retail price of $249.99. If you do decide to pick up a pair, check out our comparison with the adiPure IV SL first – I’m sure it will add some value.
When they were released, many fans were disappointed that the adiPure 11Pro did not feature the expected K-leather upper. Instead, Adidas saved it for their SL release. This SL features a soft K-leather upper with an ultra-thin layer of protection, called DuraCoating. This is intended to provide an extra level of durability around the strike zone. Definitely not what many players were expecting! At 6.4oz, these fall more into the lightweight category than the heritage, with Adidas trimming them down to the bare bones.
Finally, as with all current release, Adidas employ their SprintFrame soleplate and the ability to use their miCoach performance tracking system. The chip sits in a cavity in the soleplate and it allows you to record just what you are doing on the field…in other words, you can’t hide and get away with it! And finally, when it comes to player position, I see these as an ideal option for wingers or outside backs who want a speed boot with a leather upper.
Hey Bryan,
I was wondering which you think is a better option: Copa Mundials or Adipure 11pros the normal version. The most important thing to me is comfort and durability,
Thanks
I think the 11pro is an all-around better cleat…the copa has nice k leather but the outsole is a bit stiff and traction is not as good as in modern boots
Thanks
Ok now I’ve found what will substitute my leather adizero 1.5…those look much better than the new adizero….although the color scheme strongly reminds the tiempo elite (which I love)
Does this kleather have the stiffness like the copa?
