The “Castle Villa” Project – Final Recap

Villa Locker Room

I have just returned to the US from what turned out to be a fantastic trip back to Ireland in July. As well as getting to see family and friends, I had the opportunity to resign and train/play for my former club, Castle Villa (Summer Signing – The “Castle Villa” Project). There were many of you who followed updates on the trip through Facebook and the SC101Blog – thanks to those who sent kind messages of support, they were all appreciated.

During my time there, we played 3 games – and won all 3. It turned out to be an exciting month for the club as we moved just above midtable, having been in the relegation spots in early June. I have already agreed to return to play with Castle Villa next summer (pending fitness) and who knows, maybe I will be bringing one or two SC101 readers with me who want a shot at making a professional career in Europe! Watch this space. Until then, follow Castle Villa on Facebook to stay up with all the latest developments from the club.

In total, my personal stats turned out to be:

  • Games: 3
  • Minutes Played: 215
  • Goals Scored: 5
  • Assists: 2
  • Shots: 18 On Goal: 10

  1. This is the coolest thing that I've ever seen bryan. It's good to see you haven't missed a step! haha but seriously if you need a partner in crime to get resigned with next summer I'd be more than happy to volunteer!

  2. Impressive stats Bryan
