The second colorway in the Puma evoSPEED 1 has been released, with this edition taking on a slightly more subtle look. Listed as a Black/White/Team Orange colorway, the Black upper with Orange detailing is a lot less dramatic than what we are used to seeing from Puma. To try make up for that, they have taken the soleplate and given it a complete Orange paint job.
Everyone knows that Orange is the color that defenders love to see most as you leave them in your wake, right?
Retail wise, the evoSPEED 1 hits the market at $184.99. For those who are on a more economical budget, you next option is the evoSPEED 3, which retails for $109.99.
Weighing in at 6.3oz, these boots are all about speed and acceleration, The upper is made of a thin monolayer microfiber upper that features a dot-pattern along the forefoot for added control benefits, while stability is provided by the internal EverFit cage. The anatomically engineered lightweight one-piece outsole provides stability and support, utilizing high-tech materials to minimize weight and to maximize its flexibility and reactivity.
One area of real interest is the soleplate and stud configuration. Puma has removed all carbon fiber materials and gone for a TPU outsole instead. mixed with a completely different stud configuration to that of the V series, and it makes for interesting results.
On a final note, Puma has also released this boot in a 6.8oz K-leather version.
Nice I love the color and the design. I am actually thinking of getting some new cleats but I can’t make up my mind on what to get. I play mid/wing you could say I play a # 10 style as I love to create plays but I also love to run down the wing. What cleats do you suggest?
Hey ryan, can you do a testing on this cleat? could not find any clip on youtube about this.
