We are turning up the heat with this awesome new colorway release in the Adidas 11Pro SL range! I haven’t been a huge advocate of the 11Pro SL, but this Running White/Black/Bright Gold is extremely classy with a definite refined look that makes them very appealing. The effect through the midfoot is particularly effective, with the addition of Gold detailing adding a colorful pop.
The 11Pro SL hits the market with a retail price of $249.99. If you do decide to pick up a pair, make sure to check out our comparison with the adiPure IV SL first – I’m sure it will add some value.
For those of you that were disappointed about the adiPure 11Pro not featuring a K-leather upper, Adidas has a response. This SL version features a soft K-leather upper with an ultra-thin layer of protection, called DuraCoating, providing an extra level of durability around the strike zone. Not what many players were expecting! At 6.4oz, these fall more into the lightweight category than the heritage, with Adidas trimming them down to the bare bones.
Finally, as with all current release, Adidas employ their SprintFrame soleplate and the ability to use their miCoach performance tracking system. The chip sits in a cavity in the soleplate. In terms of player position, I see these as an ideal option for wingers or outside backs who want a speed boot with a leather upper.
