The other new release in the Adidas F50 adiZero miCoach series comes in this slightly more appealing Black/Electricity/Warning colorway. The colorway is rather unique and it will obviously be pretty easy to spot in-game, although the black primary color does add a more modern and classic look.
I am highlighting the leather version of this release as it offers an alternate for players who want something other than the initial synthetic version released. Something you might have spotted, I say slightly more appealing above simply because the initial High Energy/Electricity has not received as much positive feedback as Adidas probably anticipated. I personally believe that Adidas can do better than this combo they have put together, with the Warning layer that runs around the lip of the upper creating an offset look. But again, I think this version offers a better look than the initial colorway.
In terms of price, you can buy this leather version of the adiZero, without the chip, for $210 – or you can get the entire package, with the miCoach chip, for $279.
When it comes to the technology used in this boot, it pretty much blows the competition away. Basically, miCoach is a highly intelligent chip that sits in the soleplate, Adidas has created a cavity where your miCoach SPEED_CELL chip sits. Once inserted and you are in-play, the chip tracks several key performance categories including speed, maximum speed, number of sprints, distance, distance at high intensity levels and time. After playing your game, you take the chip out and upload the data for review. It is that simple!
At 6oz, the leather version is slightly heavier than the synthetic version, which is 5.8oz. Realistically, this number is very minute and should not be a factor. The introduction of SprintWeb, a distinct 3-D textured design that runs across the top of your toes offers the most distinctive upgrade with this latest adiZero release. The SprintFrame soleplate has also been modified with the stud configuration altered to improve traction.
adizero's have gone from some of the best looking boots on the market to the most ugly. remember those gold messi edition or the black and yellow leather?
Yeahh, I haven't seen one good upcoming colorway of the new Zeros yet. But people are still going to buy them because of the MiCoach tech, which is a fantastic idea, I think.
I'll be wearing my granite Vapors throughout the Fall and Winter, until the Vapor VIII is released next Spring. At least the Vapors have some better colorways.
Lots of people said that vapor will break ankle.
Definitely better looking than the original release of these but I think they can do better and will wait until they do. I also hope the fit and feel is the same as the original f50's since the upper looks like they took a lot of leather out of it.
I don’t think my coach will bring his laptop on training so it wud be pointless to buy all those micoach stuffs. They look awful as well. Adidas please bring back the simplicity design!
Nice CW!
