After what was an absolutely hectic Summer of New Releases, Colorways and Sales, it seems like a good time to create a recap in case you missed some of the action – especially if it was on SC101! Seasons in Europe are about to kick off and with MLS getting close to playoffs, it is an exciting time for soccer fans. Check out the below categories to see what just happened, the links go to SC101 posts.
If a recap is not your thing, then I recommend checking out the popular what soccer cleats you should actually be wearing post!
Adidas and Nike lead the way
Adidas and Nike continue to own the market and unleashed some fantastic releases in the past few months. Nike released the Tiempo IV Elite on to the market, while also firing out some new colorways in the CTR30 Maestri (Black/White/Running Red and Metallic Platinum), the advanced Superfly (a Granite and an extremely popular Orange Peel), and a pair of T90 Laser III in Metallic Blue. Adidas brought us the Adidas adiPower Predator SL while also finding room for 2 new pairs of adipower Predator (Running White and a DB Edition) and an F50 adiZero Prime (Anodized Blue/Slime).
Smaller companies bring big releases
By smaller companies, I mean not Nike or Adidas! Puma and Umbro are probably the next set up, with Puma releasing the V1.11 and the V1.11 SL and bringing a rather energetic version of the PWR-C1.10, in Elektro. Umbro got in on the act with a very modern release, the Geometra Pro and also released what turned out to be one of the surprise packages of the summer, the Umbro GT Pro in Yellow. Others releases of note include the Diadora DD Eleven, the Under Armour Hydrastrike and the Lotto Futura 100. The final release of note came in the form of a new company and release; the Cruyff Sports Match.
What boots were reviewed?
It has been a very fun summer for me, and I have thoroughly enjoyed getting out pretty much daily to ensure each boot got an efficient review period. Rather than go through each one, I am simply going to list the 13 reviews and let you choose the one that you want to read.

Summer of Sales!
One of the things I look to do is get as many sales and deals posted as possible in order to help you guys save some money when you decide to buy. This summer, I was very grateful that WeGotSoccer stepped up to the plate with some fantastic deals, including two SC101 exclusives. The 4th of July deal especially stood out, with an extra 25% off already sale price items. The also allowed us to run the first ever Soccer Group Deal, with a $50 gift card available for $25 – the deal sold out before it expired! We also brought you the amazing Puma V1.11 for $108 deal, in reality I think Puma overlooked this one – we just had the wisdom to take advantage of it! The Steals and Deals page is continually updated, and I recommend keeping an eye on it when you decide to buy a new pair.
Does Puma have plans to release a Powercat 1.11?? Just wondering because I have a feeling that if they do they'll probably reduce the weight a bit. I get 50 percent off puma stuff from my team so I'm trying to decide what to buy.. v1.11s, kings, pwr-c… all nice options!
some of puma's best sponsored pro's are trying out prototypes of a c1.11 right now
