It has been a while, but there is finally another colorway available in the Pele Sports 1970 range; this one coming in a Lunar Rock/Tour Yellow/Black colorway. I have never seen a Lunar Rock first hand, but I am now under the assumption that they all come in a cream or slightly off white color? Without causing controversy, I am going to simply refer to them as a White/Yellow colorway – and I like the design a lot! The White upper matched with the yellow detailing creates a clean, crisp look that works.
The first thing you will notice about the 1970 is the incredibly shiny leather upper, and this release is no different. Adding to that, the entire upper of the 1970′s is made of a one-piece kangaroo leather, which means less seams in the design. The leather also undergoes an incredible 150 separate processing steps before it becomes a finished article!
I had an opportunity to test the Pele Sports 1970 shortly after they were released on the market, and the results very positive. The K-leather upper is simply sublime and feels fantastic. The one area where I felt they fall short is in weight, dropping in at 11.7oz – definitely a power boot!
One important thing to note is the size. Length wise, I could have done with a half size smaller. My advice is to order down a half size. They also have plenty of room for those of you with wide feet! Finally, if this colorway is too colorful for you, there is currently a darker Black/Orange version available.
i like the black+orange ones more, but these are really nice

Thanks for the review! I'd have no idea what to look for without it.
