Adidas adiPower Predator – DB Edition

Seeing as he has been the poster boy of Adidas for over a decade now, you know Adidas are going to create a personalized version of the new Predator for David Beckham! We spotted the new Gold adiPower Predator DB a few weeks back when Beckham took the field for Gary Neville’s testimonial. it was only fitting that he debuted the release on the field where he made his name – Old Trafford.

After having the opportunity to review them, the adiPower Predator currently sits proudly atop of the review scores page – a testament to the overall value and performance of the new lightweight/power hybrid. Holding a pair of the 7.8oz boots makes it difficult to comprehend how they could still fall into the power category, but I can tell you after testing that they have everything that you could require and more.

Adidas has completely reworked the Predator Element, with the result receiving much applause from all levels of player. The only concern I had while testing lay in the break-in period, which took a little longer than I anticipated, primarily due to the inclusion of a PowerSpine soleplate.

I actually made it out to the LA Galaxy vs Toronto game last week and got to see Beckham in the boots first hand. I am not personally sold on the colorway, but I must admit that I thought it complimented the Galaxy home kit. The Collegiate Red Metallic/Gold Metallic/Black is a boot that really stands out, and they have the full effect on Beckham. On a final note, Adidas have also just released a Running White/Black/Sharp Blue colorway.
