Random Post – Edition 1

If you haven’t noticed, things are currently very quiet in the world of soccer cleats! During June and July it seemed like there was a new release daily, but not that season has started things have really settled down. There are some new Nike and Puma colorway releases coming up in the next month, but there are no new range releases on the horizon. With that being said, I decided it would be a good opportunity to create a new random post series…..where I can just bring you some random thoughts and finds!

Nike Mercurial Vapor IV Black

Nike Mercurial Talaria IV in Black/Baby Blue
What an absolute gem of a find these are – the only problem is that they are available in a size 12 only. The Talaria IV are pretty hard to find these days and especially in the black colorway. I am a huge fan of how they look and having worn a pair back when they were on the market in late 2007 (around that time). At time of posting, these boots were available for $85.49. Check them out as well as other Talaria IV listings currently available.

Wayne Rooney Autographed Cleats
Wayne Rooney might be in the news for the wrong reasons as of late, but I still think these would be a great pick-up. I am not entirely sure how legitimate these are, the listing says it is 100% authentic and that they come with a certificate, but you can never be certain. I can tell you that the company in England who get the autographed products, icons.com, is legitimate. The listing for the Nike T90 Laser right now is at $10, if they stay below $100 it would be a good bargain both ways!

Scoutme.com have a  pretty in-depth interview with LA Galaxy’s Sean Franklin, featuring some great advice for any high-school players looking for information on the college recruiting process. Actually, the Scoutme.com site is a great resource on topics from recruiting to nutrition!

Simply because he is insanely good, check out the new Lionel Messi Barcelona away jersey over at the thesoccercloset.com. If you haven’t yet seen the highlights of Barca’s Champions League clash played Tuesday go check it – Messi is in a league of his own.

A quick shout out for Cleatology.com, the soccer cleat website for players, by players! If you are interested in putting your name in the running to be featured send us your details through the submit page.

And finally, they are on the verge of release and here is some information that might come in useful – the new Pink version of the Nike Mercurial Superfly.

  1. Bryan which would you choose the jabulani or tracer and why

  2. I'm not speaking for Bryan, but the tracer is an obvious choice for me.

  3. I played against a guy with the Nike Mercurial Talarias yesterday, haha. They’re nice and I used to own a pair!
