Currently the lightest soccer cleat on the market, the Puma V1.10 SL is built around pure speed. There has been a lot of talk about the sizing as they seem to fit a lot tighter than regular sized cleats. Well I have managed to get my hands on 2 sizes (9.5US and 10US) to be able to compare how they really fit. Both pairs arrived today and it is quiet evident that you are going to want to order up in size when buying these. The size issue lies around the design of the toe box, as it is a lot pointier than on other soccer cleats that are more rounded.
I can’t confirm whether these will stretch, but what I can tell you right now is this:
- If you want a snug, tight fit or have a thin shaped foot order a half size up (normally a 9US – order a 9.5US)
- If you want a comfortable fit or have a wide fitting foot, order up a full size (normally a 9US – order a 10US)
I have decided to use 10US for testing. They look sweet and just like the adiZero’s they feel superlight. One of the areas you can tell there is a difference lies in the tongue. The soleplate seems very flexible, so I am hoping they break in nicely! The full review will up in the next two weeks, stay tuned for more updates.
