When you have just been named the World Player of the year, it is pretty easy to assume that you can ask for another pair of personalized soccer cleats to be created. Lionel Messi has been a step above every above every player this past year, and has put in some scintillating performances. Earlier this year, Messi wore a personalized version of the Adidas F50i TUNiT in the Champions League final, that was eventually released to the masses. The latest version, which Messi played a huge part in creating, comes in a white/new navy/metallic gold color. The upper is made of quilted ULT-K, a calfskin leather that is specially treated to feel softer and more like kangaroo leather.
The new version is going to be a hit over the Christmas period, and is sure to be an awesome gift to anyone that manages to get their hands on a pair. Like with the previous Lionel Messi F50i release, this version displays the Argentinian emblem on the front lace cover. This time it is a little less noticeable since it is white on white! But it is still pretty cool. Also, the boots weigh in at 11.02oz, and because they are part if the F50i TUNiT range, they come with interchangeable studs for different surfaces. I am interested to see Messi wearing these boots on the field! To get your hands on a pair, or just see more images, head over to Soccer.com.
