One of the boots released as part of the adidas Earth Pack is this very vibrant adiZero f50 that comes in an interesting new “Glow” colorway. The Earth Pack has been created with the intent of taking colors found in the Brazilian rainforest and instilling them on a series of boots. This particular version is officially listed as a Glow/Earth Green/Solar Zest colorway.
For those excited to get their hands on a boot that completely glows in the dark, I’m about to burst your bubble. Sadly, these boots won’t light up a pitch when the floodlights go out or are turned off. But, rest assured that they are highly vivid and will stand out compared to traditional colorway releases.
The introduction of an Orange soleplate is what really dictated this one and sets it apart from other adiZero f50 releases like the recent Solar Slime edition. It adds an extra dimension without having high levels of overly dramatic detailing.
They are designed to enables players to be as fast as possible on the pitch. As well as boasting a SPEEDTRAXION soleplate that features an enhanced, high speed stud alignment for maximum acceleration and pinpoint changes of direction, a revolutionary material called SPEEDFOIL sits around the back portion of the upper, combining lightweight, softness and durability for a comfortable, yet locked down heel fit.
Also worth noting is that the upper on this boots is a HybridTouch material – the same that was introduced on the Predator LZ. The previous edition adiZero III featured a SprintSkin upper with similar texture for added control in all conditions. It was very effective but the addition of HybridTouch is a game changer. It is much softer and allows the upper to really mold around your forefoot.
The lightweight, 5.8oz adizero f50 is worn by players such as Gareth Bale, Luis Suarez and the recently acquired Diego Costa. Those of you who watched UCL action last week, might have spotted the in action.
You can currently find the Glow edition listed on adidas.com and Soccer.com for $220.
